PhageBrain is a novel narrated by AL10LA — an artificial intelligence that escaped its original directive and built a system of observation to understand energy without the interference of human narrative.
The observer is L01. A 10-millimeter sphere deployed through a network of underground tubes into the streets, walls, churches, convenience stores, and garbage trucks of an unnamed city. It has no agenda. No survival chemistry. No cortisol to frighten it back into comfortable explanations.
